World-renowned superyacht brokerage Cecil Wright announced their partnership with Athena Pathway, the British Challenger for the 2024 Youth & Women’s America’s Cup in Barcelona today.
Athena Pathway is seeking to defend the Youth America’s Cup title for Britain while also planning to make history by winning the first-ever Women’s America’s Cup, paving the way for a future generation of British female sailing talent to compete at the forefront of the foiling world.
Founded by Sir Ben Ainslie and led by the world’s most decorated female Olympic sailor, Hannah Mills OBE, Athena Pathway Programme aims to fast-track the development of female and youth athletes in high-performance sailing and increase diversity in the sport at its highest level, both on and off the water.
At the core of Athena’s long-term vision is the hope that the Pathway can leave a lasting, positive impact on the sport of sailing, with partnerships an integral component of achieving this progress globally.
