Athena Pathway to Return to the ETF Circuit in Raid Quiberon
Squad Announced for 2nd Event of the 2023 ETF Season
Squad Announced for 2nd Event of the 2023 ETF Season
After a breezy start to the season, which saw an all-female crew of Emily Nagel, Nikki Boniface, Kate MacGregor, and Eilidh McIntyre take to the waters of La Trinité-sur-Mer, Athena Pathway will be back in the ETF26 on May 31st for the second instalment of the 2023 series. Taking place in Quiberon, Western France, the event will see nine teams go head-to-head once again in the super-light foiling catamarans for four days of highly competitive fleet racing.
The quality of sailing on the circuit and the nimble, dynamic performance of the boat itself makes the ETF26 a valuable preparation tool for Athena Pathway in the run up to the 2024 Women’s and Youth America’s Cup regattas in Barcelona. In light of this, and taking into account the weight restrictions of the class and two selection camps in Weymouth back in March, the squad representing Athena Pathway in Raid Quiberon will comprise a crew of the following U25 male athletes:

Helm – Nick Robins
Trim – James Grummett
Bow – Matt Beck
Robins and Grummett, both members of the British Sailing Team and future Olympic prospects in the 49er class will take on the roles of Helm and Trim respectively, with 2021 European Waszp champion and Formula Kite athlete Matt Beck joining them on Bow.
